Opening Banquet
Our
opening evening event will be held within the
Aberdeen Douglas
Hotel, just off Union
Street
in Aberdeen's
Merchant Quarter, which is truly part of the Aberdeen
City Centre experience - ideally
located for exploring the history and charm of Aberdeen.
Built in the height of the Victorian era, the Aberdeen
Douglas Hotel
has been welcoming guests since 1848 and as a listed building is a much loved
and well appointed landmark in the city centre.
An
opportunity to renew old acquaintances and forge new ones as we welcome
participants and supporters from across the Rotary curling world.

Rotary Night
- for our Rotarians
For our Rotary meeting evening we make
our first visit to Aberdeen’s
Beach Ballroom complex famous for its art-deco style and provision of
prestigious accommodation for events such as our own. Our venue for the
evening is the Star
Ballroom on the upper floor of the building with its views over Aberdeen
beach and the North
Sea.
Join
us for an evening of Rotary fellowship with a wee bit of business to deal
with the welcome of Clubs and Teams from the participating nations.
The Jewellery Dinner - for our non-Rotarians
For our
non Rotarian guests and partners we have arranged a dinner at The Copthorne
Hotel followed by a presentation by Rotarian Peter
Carry on jewellery. The meeting will be chaired and hosted by two of our St. Fittick lady Rotarians. The dinner is planned
for our non Rotarian guests but any lady Rotarian who would like to attend
will be welcome.
